Our finish shop is where the beauty of our furniture really presents
itself. If takes as long (or longer) to finish our furniture as it does
to build it.
Stain Finishes
The basic finish for a stained piece includes dye stain, sanding sealer
(prevents knots from bleeding), light distressing for character and
glazing. The final result is not only beautiful, but also personal and
unique.

Milk Paint Finishes
The deep, rich colors of our Milk Paint authentically reflect those
colors found on existing antique furniture and buildings. Our paint
is made in small batches using earth pigments. And, like the paints
used hundreds of years ago, the colors in our Milk Paint will not fade.
Crackle and Latex Rub-thru Paint Finishes
After the sanding sealer, we use Antique one-shot stain for the base
color. Each piece is hand-rubbed between painting and glazing for an
authentic, aged look.

Interior Finishes
We use latex paint to complete the interior of the piece. A sanding
sealer is applied, followed by the stain color. Two coats of lacquer
are used as the final step.
